A longtime partnership between Green Light New Orleans and Entergy will continue to positively impact the New Orleans community and support our rain barrel program. Entergy’s generous $150,000 grant will help us install 300, or more, rain barrels throughout the city.

Entergy employees have also volunteered their time to prep and beautifully paint nearly 30 barrels to help mitigate flooding and subsidence, which can retain up to 67,650 gallons of rainwater annually. The rain barrels will serve as tools of stormwater management for New Orleans residents and enhance our community through artistic and creative expression.

The company has generously supported our programs from the beginning. In 2008, its large contribution and employee volunteerism helped us install thousands of energy efficient light bulbs. Entergy’s support is greatly appreciated.
