The Greater New Orleans Foundation’s fourth annual GiveNOLA Day is next week! On Tuesday, May 2, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 24-hr online fundraiser to support over 700 non-profit organizations in New Orleans — including yours truly.

GiveNOLA day is the perfect opportunity to become a Green Light member. The membership fee is $120 for the whole year. We are offering papaya seedlings and custom made journals as well as our other membership benefits like access to year-round free seeds. 

To make a donation, just visit our profile page on GiveNOLA Day and enter your information — there are no extra fees, just the opportunity to win prizes throughout the day from the Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) and the chance to participate in a fundraiser for so many great local organizations.

At the Green Light office, we’re hosting our own GiveNOLA Day celebration for our supporters from 3-5 pm. Stop by to chat with us, grab a free malibar spinach seedling, and see what’s new over delicious wine and cheese.

There will be a blank rain barrel outside of our office all day on May 2nd. All current members and people who contribute to Green Light on GiveNOLA Day are welcome to paint a small piece of the barrel. We want the art on this barrel to be reflective of our members and donors! Sign your name or create a design! We will also be auctioning off one of our rain barrels painted by a local artist.
