- The first city-wide energy efficiency program is close to becoming a
reality.
The Energy Smart program is designed to benefit all of New Orleans and it is
long overdue. While this program may not be perfect, it is a step in the
right direction. Therefore we urge you to read more about Energy Smart and
go to the public hearing on Thursday, September 10 to express your opinion
to the City Council. Climate change is moving at a faster pace than
predicted, so we may not have time to delay or reinvent this proposal.
Energy efficiency is important for the City of New Orleans and for our
planet!
