A Week of Barrels

With the help of 7 Tulane volunteers and 1 intern, Green Light’s AmeriCorps Members installed SIX barrels last week in just FOUR days! We’re getting our barrels moving fast, so apply now if you’re thinking about getting a rain barrel for your home.

Here’s what one of the new rain barrel owners had to say about her barrel: “I believe in and try to practice all methods of conservation, so the rain barrel program fits right in with my philosophy and practices. I have an extensive garden and will use the rain collected in our barrel to water my plants during dry spells. I have great admiration for the people who initiated and manage this program.” -Lois S.
