Biking ’round with Tulane’s Environmental Science Service Learning group!
This past weekend, Saturday the 24th, we were lucky enough to receive some awesome and much appreciated help with installations from Professor Jeffrey M. Sigler’s Environmental Science Service Learning class from Tulane University! Professor Jeffrey Sigler’s Environmental Science course partners with Green Light for its service learning component. Instead of driving to the installation sites, these five student from Tulane decided to actually mobilize their own bike routes! Biking is a great way to see the city up-close and personal, as well as a fun alternative to driving (especially when the weather is as awesome as it was on Saturday!) Originally, Greenlight had travelled to installations by bike or foot, but since our growth over the years (due to the help from our community) much of our installation requests have grown in size and distance. It was great to see our volunteers on bikes again! We would like to thank Tulane’s Environmental Science class for their time, service, and hard work on Saturday.
