A Call for Volunteers and Interns

Here are our Fall 2015 interns!Green Light’s three programs could not run as smoothly without the help of our volunteers and interns. If you’re interested in either volunteering or interning with us, please check out the details below and send us an email or volunteer request form.

Volunteers

Options for volunteers include installing energy efficient light bulbs, backyard vegetable gardens, and rain barrels as well as cleaning, priming, and painting barrels for the Rain Barrel Program. Volunteers can come in as individuals or larger groups. With large groups, we ask that you provide funding for the volunteer opportunity you choose to partake in. If you are looking for a long-term volunteer position or just a single day of volunteering, look no further! We have opportunities constantly. To send in a volunteer request form, click here.

Interns

Interns play an important role at Green Light. Interns come in for a minimum of 2 days per week and work on individual or larger projects that directly enhance the effectiveness of our environmental grassroots organization. Interns are encouraged to think freely and will be allowed to pursue their ideas openly. We have positions opened for a Communications Intern, Fundraising Intern, Garden Program Intern, Volunteer Coordinating Intern, and Office Manager Intern. To learn more about each of these, click here. If you or someone you know is interested in being a Green Light intern, you can apply by sending your resume and a cover letter in an email with your preferred position as the subject line to andreashoffmann@greenlightneworleans.org.
