Entergy Louisiana to Install Light Bulbs in Jefferson Parish

Entergy Louisiana has generously granted $25,000 to Green Light New Orleans, which will enable Green Light to purchase 5,000 energy efficient CFLs for installation in Jefferson Parish. A large portion of the 5,000 bulbs will be installed Thursday, October 25th by Entergy Louisiana employees, who will donate their time to help Jefferson Parish families reduce their energy use. Through this partnership, Entergy Louisiana and Green Light will reach about 250 households, reducing resident utility costs by $250,000 and reducing the carbon footprint of the parish by 2 million pounds of CO2 over the lifetime of the bulbs.
