Generations Youth Volunteers

Today Green Light is lucky enough to have 18 volunteers from Generations, a Tampa-based church group, out installing light bulbs. This is the group’s third year volunteering with Green Light. I got a chance to talk to Kara Alpine, the team leader, about the group’s other volunteering experiences during their time in New Orleans. For the past few days they have helped rebuild homes with Project Homecoming, a faith-based community development organization working to build resilient neighborhoods in the greater New Orleans area. They have also helped homeless ministries in the area by hosting soup kitchens and other services. Thanks to Generations for their work with us and the rest of the New Orleans community!
