Meet our fall 2017 interns
Green Light New Orleans depends on many people to further our mission of building a more sustainable future. In addition to volunteers from within and outside the New Orleans community, we would not be able to function without the help of our team of interns.
This year, we are excited to welcome Darcy Gray and Emily MacLaren, our garden program and volunteer coordinator interns, respectively.
Get to know them here:

Darcy Gray is a Tulane senior majoring in Environmental Biology. She spent last semester studying urban sustainability in Cape Town, South Africa, and held a summer internship position with NASA studying urban habitat loss and climate change. Darcy is interested in many aspects of urban sustainability, and especially in understanding the roles that backyard gardens play in the New Orleans food system.

Emily MacLaren is a current senior at Tulane University studying public health and international development. Emily is just coming back from spending a semester abroad in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Emily is Green Light New Orleans’ volunteer coordinator, and she is excited to work with people who are dedicating their time to contribute to environmental sustainability throughout the Greater New Orleans area.
