Meet the Interns: Summer 2015
Alex Glick: Garden Program Intern

Hailing from Atlanta as an unapologetic Falcons fan, Alex is here in New Orleans studying Environmental Studies and Social innovation/entrepreneurship at Tulane University. Alex is also a bass guitarist in the band Yard Dogs that has been to Nashville and Atlanta among other cities just this summer. He is excited to get more in depth and tangible experience of how nonprofits work and looks forward to gardening and connecting more people to Green Light.
Rachel Stuckey: Fundraising Intern
Rachel, a third year student at University of Virginia studying Foreign Affairs and Global Development Studies, is excited to use what she learns at Green Light as the Fundraising Internship to bolster that. At UVA, Rachel worked with a volunteer program that mentors refugees in Charlottesville and also dances jazz and hip hop. Rachel is excited to get more experience in grant writing researching and writing. Beyond Green Light, she is excited to be home for the summer for the food, festivals and continuing to explore the art scene that not even Virginia can replace.
Grace Hebert: Volunteer Coordinator/Garden Program Intern
Grace Hebert is a New Orleans native and a rising sophomore at Louisiana State University studying Mechanical Engineering. Having volunteered at Green Light throughout high school doing CFL installations she decided to work with them more extensively this summer. A vegetarian, unicyclist and a twin (fraternal) she is excited to be learning about the community garden and to continue making her favorite city more environmentally friendly.
Madeline Gould: Fundraising Intern
Coming from her hometown of Houston, Texas Maddy fell in love with the vibrant culture and friendly people of New Orleans when she visited 3 years ago. She loves hiking, swimming, and basically anything outdoors. She attends Sewanee: The University of the South and is an Environment and Sustainability Major there. This summer she is excited to work at Green Light as their Fundraising Intern and as a lifeguard as well.
