Our NOLA Youth Works Team – Meet Ivan
This summer Green Light is lucky to have four members of NOLA Youth Works working with us. NOLA Youth Works is a summer program that provides valuable work experiences for its members. The program is open to people between the ages of 13 and 21 living in the New Orleans area and is focused on helping participants create and develop their own career goals.
We are very excited to have our NOLA Youth Works team working alongside us, so we asked them each to write a short biography about themselves so that we could introduce them to all of you.
Today we are posting the first of the four bios. This is Ivan:
My name is Ivan, and I am a part of the Green Light New Orleans family. I live on the west bank in a subdivision called Bocage, and I attend O. Perry Walker high school. I’ve chosen the Nola Youth Works program to keep myself occupied in a positive way this summer. I’m very focused on learning how to help our environment the way Green Light New Orleans does. I am really focused on becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the United States. I feel like my experience here can help me learn about partnerships with other businesses because Green Light New Orleans has partnerships with different companies, organizations, and non-profits. I think partnerships have a big impact on Green Light and any successful company.
We are glad to have Ivan working with us! Be sure to keep your eye out for the rest of our NOLA Youth Works team who will be introduced soon.
