This week’s featured business is Dirty Coast shirts & apparel, located at 5631 Magazine Street in Uptown New Orleans. Dirty Coast carries the funkiest and freshest t-shirts from local designers and beyond, be sure to check them out if you need a little boost of swagger.
We haven’t done many retail businesses thus far, but they’re interesting to work on because their lighting focuses on product display more than lighting up a room. This can be a challenge if businesses don’t give it a lot of forethought, but thanks to manager Patrick Brower for knowing exactly what he wanted! He contacted us, told us what he was looking for and we were happy to oblige. Dirty Coast received 30 compact fluorescent light bulbs, including 16 3000K flood lights to set off their products, which will provide savings to the tune of $795.87 annually.

Thanks again to Dirty Coast for their participation in the program. Not only does their action reduce their environmental impact but also sets an example for other business owners and community leaders that helping saving the environment can also help save money!
