Water Fall Fest 2018 Was a Blast!

We had a great time at Water Fall Fest 2018, a celebration of the people and organizations helping Greater New Orleans reduce flooding by learning to live with water. The free festival took place at the Greater New Orleans Foundation Center for Philanthropy, 919 St. Charles Ave., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. So thank you to everyone who supported this event!
We had the opportunity to talk to folks about our programs and what we could help them do to make their homes more sustainable. We even got to talk to Mayor Cantrell who is now signing up to receive her very own Green Light New Orleans rain barrel! Our board president Rebecca Madura and volunteer staff Eva-Maria Jungmayer did painting demonstrations, one of the barrels (shown above in its step-by-step progression) was even raffled off to some lucky winners. We love spreading the word about how increasing sustainability and resilience in the Greater New Orleans area can be simple and fun! We are looking forward to seeing both new and old faces at our next tabling event.
